Alastair Greene is coming to Faversham — and if you know the name, you already know this is something special. A multi-charting Top 10 Billboard artist, eight-year guitarist with the Alan Parsons Project, and one of the most respected blues-rock guitarists on the American circuit, he brings his band to The Old Brewery Store on Wednesday 24th June 2026. Joe Bonamassa says he’s at the height of his powers. We’re inclined to agree.
Born in Santa Barbara, California and now based in Austin, Texas, Alastair Greene has been fronting his own blues-rock trio for over 25 years — building a body of work that draws comparisons to Gov’t Mule, ZZ Top, and Cream, and a live reputation that has taken him to stages across the United States, Europe, and beyond. His music sits at the intersection of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s emotional directness and the Allman Brothers’ improvisational firepower — funky, swampy, muscular, and completely his own. He formed the Alastair Greene Band in 1997 and has released nine solo albums since, each one building on the last and earning the kind of critical praise that only comes from genuine talent. His grandfather was trumpeter Chico Alvarez, a member of the Stan Kenton Band in the 1940s — music is in the blood, and it shows in every note.
For eight years Alastair toured the world as guitarist and co-lead vocalist with the Alan Parsons Live Project — playing major venues across the globe and developing the stage craft that makes his own live show so compelling. He has also toured with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, appeared alongside Tab Benoit and Grammy-nominee Sugaray Rayford, performed at the Big Blues Bender and the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, and been a regular presence at Blues Foundation events in Memphis. His 2017 studio album Dream Train earned four stars from DownBeat Magazine and a Best Album of the Year nomination. His 2024 Blues Caravan appearance on Ruf Records placed him alongside some of the finest blues talent in Europe. He appeared in a Guitar World interview in January 2025. This is an artist at the absolute peak of a remarkable career.

When Joe Bonamassa says someone is at the height of their powers, you pay attention. Alastair Greene has spent 25 years earning that kind of endorsement — building a reputation show by show, album by album, across two continents. The Old Brewery Store on a Wednesday night in June is exactly the kind of room where a guitarist of this quality can really let loose — no distance between band and audience, no compromise on sound, just a masterclass in 21st century blues-rock from someone who has been doing it at the highest level for the better part of three decades.
This one will fill up. Get your tickets early.
Located within the historic site of Shepherd Neame — Britain’s oldest operational brewery, founded in 1698 — The Old Brewery Store carries more than three centuries of history in its walls. With its industrial charm, vaulted ceilings, and a character that no purpose-built venue can replicate, it provides the perfect atmospheric backdrop for a night like this.
With a capacity of 250, the room strikes that rare balance between grand and intimate — big enough to create real atmosphere, small enough that you’re never far from the stage. Whether you’re at the front of the room or grabbing a pint of locally brewed Shepherd Neame at the bar, you’re guaranteed an immersive experience in one of Kent’s most unique live music spaces.
