Stacy Mitchhart — Nashville's King of the Blues

If you’ve spent any time around the blues world, you’ll know the name. If you haven’t heard of Stacy Mitchhart yet, prepare to wonder how that’s possible. Known across Nashville as the “King of the Blues,” Stacy Mitchhart has been the long-standing house act at the legendary Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar in Printers Alley — one of Music City’s most storied venues and the beating heart of Nashville’s blues scene. He holds 13 major endorsements, has been crowned both Blues Entertainer of the Year and Acoustic Blues Act of the Year by the Music City Blues Society, and has played to crowds of 50,000 people. He has shared stages with B.B. King and James Brown.

And yet here he is, coming to Faversham.

This is exactly the kind of show Rockin’ Roots Events exists to put on — a world-class artist in an intimate room, close enough to see every expression, every technique, every moment of showmanship. Stacy’s mastery of the Cigar Box Guitar is something to behold, and his percussive, drum-like playing style is unlike anything you’ll encounter elsewhere on the circuit. His sets are as humorous as they are gritty, as precise as they are soulful. Junior Wells said he hadn’t heard anyone with that fire in a long time. Bobby “Blue” Bland told people to watch out. Both were right.

What the Legends Say About Stacy Mitchhart

“I haven’t heard anyone that has that fire in a long time.”Junior Wells

“Watch out! This is one bad, young man.”Bobby “Blue” Bland

“He can share my stage anytime, anywhere.”Kenny Neal

Oli "Mississippi" MacDonald — Special Guest · 4x UK Blues Award Winner

Joining Stacy on stage is one of the most exciting blues artists working in Britain today. Oli “Mississippi” MacDonald — known to colleagues and fans simply as Oli Mac — is a London-born soul-blues singer, songwriter and guitarist whose rise over the past few years has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has won four UK Blues Federation Awards across three consecutive years — Traditional Blues Artist of the Year and Acoustic Blues Act of the Year in 2024, Acoustic Blues Act of the Year again in 2025, and Best Acoustic Act at the 2026 ceremony in April.

He has recorded at the legendary Royal Studios in Memphis with the Hi Rhythm Section — the same musicians who played behind Al Green — with Grammy Award-winning producer Boo Mitchell. He has been welcomed into the Take Me To The River All Stars alongside Jools Holland, William Bell, and Eric Gales as part of the London sessions — one of the most prestigious blues and soul collaborations of recent years. He has been championed by Mojo magazine and featured on Cerys Matthews’ BBC Radio 2 Blues Show. He has showcased on Beale Street in Memphis and appeared on the legendary King Biscuit Time broadcast in Helena, Arkansas.
