Norwegian blues guitarist and songwriter Otto Junior brings his electrifying band to The Old Brewery Store, Faversham on Thursday 14th October 2027 — and this is one of the most exciting young blues acts in the world right now. A Gibson artist who has shared stages with Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Little Steven, Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher, Matt Schofield and Mike Zito — and who supported Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Vivino in September 2026 — Otto Junior is the kind of artist you need to catch before the rooms get much bigger. Backed by one of the tightest young rhythm sections in the blues world, this is blues, soul, blues-rock and funk done properly.
Otto Junior is an award-winning blues guitarist and songwriter from Norway — and one of the most exciting young voices on the international blues scene today. A proud member of the Gibson family, Otto opened for Slash, Billy Gibbons and Don Felder at NAMM 2020 in Anaheim — a stage most artists only dream of. He has since shared stages with some of the biggest names in blues, including Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Little Steven, Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher, Matt Schofield, Mike Zito, Kid Andersen and D.K. Harrell.
In October and November 2025, Otto and his band completed a major tour with 19 gigs across Japan and South Korea. In September 2026 he supported Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Vivino — further confirmation of the level at which he now operates. In April 2026, the band made their US debut at the legendary Springing The Blues Festival in Jacksonville, Florida. They have also toured extensively across Norway, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Croatia.
Backed by Theis Jakob on bass, Ola Grindbakken on drums and Leo Haugen Wyller on organ, the Otto Junior Band delivers a dynamic and electrifying live show — blending blues, soul, blues-rock and funk with powerful interpretations of Gary Moore and Jimi Hendrix classics alongside strong original material. All in their early twenties, but playing the blues like men twice their age.
In 2025, the Norwegian Blues Union named Otto Junior Most Up & Coming Artist — cementing his place as one of Norway’s most exciting young blues artists. That same autumn, he and his band completed a 19-date tour of Japan and South Korea, building an international following that now spans three continents.
In September 2026, Otto supported Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Vivino — one of the most coveted support slots in the blues world. With extensive touring across Europe, Asia and North America already under his belt at such a young age, this is an artist whose trajectory points firmly upward — and Faversham is getting him at just the right moment.
