GA-20 come to Faversham on Saturday 24 October 2026, bringing their raw, no-frills electric blues to The Old Brewery Store. One of the most exciting trios in modern roots music, GA-20 land in Kent fresh off the release of Blues Now, their brand-new collaborative album with the legendary Charlie Musselwhite — making this one of the standout nights of live music in Faversham this year. If you love your live blues in Kent played loud, live and from the floor up, this is the real thing. GA-20 tickets start from just £20 in advance. Door tickets will be £25 if available.
Since 2018, GA-20 have stood at the front line of a traditional blues revival. The trio — guitarist Matt Stubbs, guitarist and vocalist Cody Nilsen, and drummer Josh Kiggans — are devoted to the place where traditional blues, country and rock ‘n’ roll collide. Their philosophy is disarmingly simple. As Stubbs puts it, the focus has always been on the story, the melody, and the mood. Traditional country and soul have both had huge revivals in recent years; GA-20 set out to do exactly that for the blues.
They mean it, too. Drawing on the music of Otis Rush, J.B. Lenoir, Howlin’ Wolf, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor, Earl Hooker and Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson, the band play with a kind of joyful recklessness — vintage guitars, vintage amps, and old-school recording techniques, often cut live off the floor in a single room. The result is a sound one reviewer described as dirty and raw, yet timeless and modern.
In a short career, GA-20 have racked up three #1 Billboard Blues chart-toppers and four Boston Music Awards for Best Blues Act, alongside multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards and New England Blues Awards. Their 2021 tribute Try It… You Might Like It! GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor — a 50th-anniversary salute released via Colemine in partnership with Alligator Records — and the chart-topping Live: Vol. 1 established them as genuine torchbearers for the genre.
Their 2026 record Blues Now, made with 60-year blues statesman Charlie Musselwhite, only raises the stakes. The ten-track collaboration captures the raw spirit of Chicago blues with a modern edge, and the GA-20 Faversham show falls right in the heart of that album cycle — a chance to catch the band at the peak of their powers in a 250-capacity room.
★★★★★ “This is the kind of music that travels through time… Dirty and raw… timeless and modern.” — Medium
With its industrial charm, vaulted ceilings, and a character no purpose-built venue can replicate, The Old Brewery Store provides the perfect atmospheric backdrop for a night like this.
With a capacity of 250, the room strikes that rare balance between grand and intimate — big enough to create real atmosphere, small enough that you’re never far from the stage. Whether you’re at the front or grabbing a pint of locally brewed Shepherd Neame at the bar, you’re guaranteed an immersive experience in one of Kent’s most unique live music spaces — and one of the very best for live music in Faversham.
