Live music Faversham Kent doesn’t get better than this. Rockin’ Roots Events brings world-class blues, soul, roots and rock acts to The Old Brewery Store — artists who sell out venues across the UK and Europe, right here in the heart of Kent. Brilliant bands at the top of their game in a 250-capacity venue. Whether you’re a lifelong blues or rock devotee or just discovering the power of live music, a night at The Old Brewery Store with Rockin’ Roots Events is something you won’t forget.
From Chicago blues legends to rising Americana stars, from British soul to Southern rock — if it’s got grit, groove and feeling, it’s on our stage. Rockin’ Roots Events has been bringing the best of the blues and roots world to Kent for years, and Faversham is where the biggest nights happen. We programme artists who have dedicated their lives to the music — guitarists, singers and bands who carry on a tradition that runs from the Mississippi Delta to the back streets of Memphis and beyond. If you love real music played by real musicians, this is your home.
Tucked in the heart of one of Kent’s most characterful market towns, The Old Brewery Store is the kind of venue that serious music fans travel for. Great sound, great atmosphere, and a crowd that actually listens. When an artist plays Faversham, they remember it. The venue sits just minutes from Faversham town centre and is well served by rail — Faversham station is a short walk away, making it an easy night out from Canterbury, Sittingbourne, Whitstable and beyond. Parking is available nearby. Once inside, the room is all about the music.
Every show on the Rockin’ Roots Events calendar is a handpicked artist — touring professionals with serious back catalogues and devoted followings. We don’t do tribute acts or generic covers nights. Every act we book is the real thing. Shows sell out regularly — we have a track record of sold-out nights across Kent with artists who pack venues far larger than this. When you see a date you like, don’t wait. The people who join our mailing list are always kept in the loop to get tickets.
The Old Brewery Store sits within the Shepherd Neame brewery complex — Britain’s oldest brewer, officially founded in 1698, with brewing on the site traced back to at least 1573. That’s over 450 years of history in these walls.
The events space itself was created in the former wines and spirits warehouse — a cavernous, atmospheric room adorned with historic pub signs from the brewer’s estate. The vaulted ceilings, exposed brickwork and industrial character give it a presence that no purpose-built venue can replicate. When the lights go down and the band kicks in, you feel it.
Faversham itself is one of Kent’s finest medieval market towns, shaped for centuries by the brewing trade. The Shepherd Neame family has been at the heart of the town since the 18th century — their brewery sits by Faversham Creek, which once carried malt and hops by boat before the railway arrived in 1858. The grand townhouses built by Faversham’s brewing families still line the streets today.
To see world-class blues and rock performed in a room like this is something genuinely rare. Centuries of history in the walls, world-class live music on the stage. There aren’t many venues like it anywhere in the country.
